Today Nordic Sustainable Construction is joining forces with Nordic partners and the Laudes Foundation, hosting an event at the Festival exploring how the New European Bauhaus values beauty, sustainability and togetherness can inspire sustainable construction.

The day has finally come for the New European Bauhaus Festival!

Today and for the next several days the New European Bauhaus initiative is officially launched at the Festival. Representatives from all over the EU are joining in to take part in the celebrations, exchanges and activities.

The festival is taking place in Brussels and online. Hereby everybody can join in on the activities that are taking place.

Nordic Sustainable Construction and four other Nordic initiatives are together with Laudes Foundation hosting an event at the Festival. The event focuses on sustainable construction and is through several speakers, panel debates, dance and theater performances, and moderated dialogues uncovering the question:

“How can we use design and architecture to fight climate change and build a livable future?”

To join in and share knowledge on this subject, we have invited architects, urban designers, policymakers, influencers, game changers and interested citizens. It is through all of these inputs that we can all be inspired and expand our horizons on this issue.

At the event we are also presenting the New European Bauhaus Lighthouse project DESIRE, which is presented by Torben Kiltgaard, BLOXHUB.
Furthermore we are launching the Joint Nordic NEB Action - Nordic Building Blocks for the New European Bauhaus.

All together it is bound to be a great day In Brussels and across the EU. We hope that you are joining in on the event, physically or online following this zoom link to the online NEB event. And if not, you can follow us on twitter for more information throughout the day.

Facts: What is New European Bauhaus?

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) aims to marry science and technology with art and culture; to approach the significant challenges of the 21st century in an inclusive, sustainable, and beautiful way. It brings together people from all walks of life to build connections, exchange ideas and explore science, art, design, politics, architecture and technology. The Festival brings the European Green Deal to the heart of our daily lives.

It is by nature transdisciplinary: it invites architects, designers, artists, scientists, engineers, artisans, and citizens to share their expertise in preparing for the future. Nourished by bottom-up initiatives, the New European Bauhaus will blend the green and digital transformations to improve the quality of life of all citizens.
